ASTEEL Group Berhad (“ASTEEL” or “Company”) has firmly established itself as a leader in the manufacturing, trading and servicing of steel materials.
The Company was incorporated in 1977 in Kuching, Sarawak under the name of Yung Kong Galvanising Industries Bhd.
It was listed on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia in 1997 and subsequently transferred to the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia in 2003. The Company changed its name to YKGI Holdings Berhad on 17 May 2013 and further changed its name to ASTEEL Group Berhad with effect from 27 June 2023.

Affordable Shelter for Everyone
Currently, ASTEEL has over 400 employees and plans to create 1,000 jobs by expanding its business operations. As part of its expansion plan, ASTEEL has set up various branches across major cities and towns. With its headquarters in Kuching, ASTEEL has branches in Miri, Bintulu, Kota Kinabalu, Tawau and Klang. There are plans to open more branches in the northern region of Sarawak, to offer roll-forming services and supply roofing materials to local customers.
